KEEPING OUR OFFICE & PATIENTS SAFE DURING THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK

Despite these challenging times, our office remains open to help give our  patients peace of mind when it comes to caring for their children’s health and well-being. We feel confident in our ability to continue seeing patients and providing services according to the level of compassionate quality care that you  expect and deserve from our practice for those patients that need to come in.
As any parent knows, pediatric care often comes with a sense of urgency. That’s why we’ve kept our offices open with additional safety measures in place if you need to be seen in person, and why we also offer tele-health appointments, making it easy  when you want a virtual visit from the comfort of your own home.

If your appointment can be done by tele-medicine, we urge you to
consider booking a virtual phone or video visit during this time.

We know how important cleanliness is during these times. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff is our top priority at all times.
To offer you peace of mind and protection, we have taken some proactive steps in our procedures to help keep everyone healthy. We are disinfecting all surfaces more frequently, and rooms after every patient. Staff is washing hands constantly.
As part of this, sadly we have removed the toys from our rooms as it is too hard to completely disinfect them between patients.
We recommend that you bring a toy, book or drawing materials
to entertain your child (no electronics please)

IMPORTANT NEW PROTOCOLS FOR ALL OFFICE VISITS

Because our office is small ,and with the increased number of walk-in’s for remedy sales, patients will now be asked to please wait in your car or outside in the courtyard until we have a room to see you.
  • When arriving for appointment, if a room is not open, we will ask you to wait in your car.
  • When we have a room ready for you, we will call you to come in.
  • Prior to entering our office, please stop in the bathroom to wash hands.
  • After your appointment, we urge you to please stop in the bathroom again and wash your hands.
Again, these are proactive measures to protect all our patients.
SICK VISITS
For the time being, we will not be seeing sick appointments in the office.
Appointments for patients with cough, cold, fever, shortness of breath, aches, will be by Phone or Video Teleconference only or directed to go to Urgent Care or ER.
NOTE:
Sick patients that don’t have Coronavirus/flu symptoms that need to be seen (ie earaches, conjunctivitis/pink eye, rashes, etc..) Dr. Allen can see them out in the parking lot or courtyard area of our office
PHONE/VIDEO TELE-VISITS
For the protection of all of our patients, in addition to phone consults, Dr. Allen will now also be offering Tele-Health Video Appointments.
